and playing with my new goodies from PaperTreyInk! My 2 new fave colors are Raspberry Fizz and New Leaf. This birthday card is also in the mail to one of my scrappy friends...gunna be a few days late, sorry!

Today is the first day of my week long vacation. My box full of goodies from PaperTreyInk arrived just in time! Just waiting on a few goodies from Stampin' Up -- I finally caved and bought the Top Note die.

I'm going to start working on some cards to St. Patrick's Day and a bunch of bday and thank you cards to add to my stash. I'm off to the work table!

Did you know that I'm obsessed with vintage/antique lamps? If I counted, I've probably got 15 in my apartment. I've been known to buy lamp rewiring kits by the arm load and am on a never ending mission for lamp shades.



Just showing my lovely pink flowers I received from Chris for Valentine's Day. I prefer any flower that lasts a LONG TIME. I've had these for a week now and they look just as great as when he surprised me with them. Notice, another lamp in the background.

I finally put away all the Xmas decorations EXCEPT for this little pink tree didn't want to be put away until next year. In addition to my collection of lamps, I love hobnail milk glass! I used a vase to hold the tree and make it become of an accent and less of a xmas tree.

Tonight was the release for all the new goodies at Papertrey Ink - YAY!

They make the best card stock I've ever laid my inky fingers on!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everybody had a special Valentine's Day! My sweet boyfriend bought me some pink daisies and chocolates, even after I told him to NOT buy me anything. I went to lunch this afternoon with my folks - YUM! Chineese! After lunch, we went to Michael's -- where we found some new $1 wood stamps. Also picked up a 8x8 pack of Making Memories - Sabrina paper. It was made just for me -- PINK!

The card above was one of the many cards I made for my co-workers to give to their spouses for V Day. I had several requests and got to make the cards with them in mind. The cute paper and heart embellishment are from the GREAT V-day swap from my girl, Jenn. I tell ya Jenn...I almost used up EVERYTHING! (Background on the card is a dark purple..not black)

Still on the search for a rescue weimaraner. We've submitted the application and are waiting to be approved before they will start matching us up with dogs. I'm really, really, really excited!

Weimaraner Saturday

Chris and I ran to Arlington to see the Weimaraner Rescue "Meet the Dogs" at Orvis. Lucy, our sweet family dog, passed away almost 2 years ago and I think my folks are finally ready to get another dog. I fell in love with one adorable girl, Junie Moon. She was really loving and laid back. While I was petting her, she decided to just go ahead and stretch ALL the way out on the entrance to the store on a busy, Saturday afternoon. Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure!

Sweet, Sweet Clearance!

Hey fellow card makers! I just hit up OfficeMax's awesome clearance aisles tonight at 2 different locations. I bought 900 assorted colors A2 envelopes for $25! I would have paid full price -- it would have been close to $200. I won't have to buy envies for a long, long time now!
